Hi Darren,
No the L78 did not make it, I am still looking for someone to straighten my crank

We took Sue's car and the Brickyard 400 (97). There were a lot of nice second gen cars there, including a beautiful 1970 citrus green L34 A/C Camaro, just restoreed by Dana and Dave Spoelstra. And a blown purple big block with the license, URTOAST.
There were three very nice 69 L78 cars, your choice of a tuxedo black RS, a cortez silver with a black gut, or an olympic gold with dark green interior. The gold car is an original owner car, and he has some cool GM stuff he bought back in the day that he displays in his trunk. And there was a nice all-black 68 SS427 convertible, I bet Budnate went wild over that one!
Bill P (427TJ) had his BY 67 big block there, and Denis G had his prize-winning deepwater blue 67Z. And Dan K (Wundercluck) loaded up his fathom green JL8 Z and drove it over, nice car!
Budnate was there, probably drove his Rustang, so we had a good turnout of sYc members. I was busy with awards most of the day, so I didn't get to visit with any of you guys as much as I wanted to. We had over 230 registered entries, and about 50 more cars parked up and down the street - great turnout on a great day!
How many pictures did I take? Well, I got the camera out and hung it around my neck at 10:00 AM. And I took it off my neck when I went to get into the car to drive home at 5:00. And I never turned it on even once
Did some of you guys take some pictures, could you post them please?
I hope everyone had a good time, I know I did. Our new venue, the XXX Drive In, worked out great, I think we'll be back there next year! root
