I finally got the info on the VIN. The 6-cylinder VIN is registered in Oregon and is current on the car. There is no trace of the V8 VIN at all. Interesting. I go through cars so much that I have regretted some that I have sold, so now this one is here to stay. I am not going to sell an original RS/SS car for a 6-cylinder price and no one is going to pay an RS/SS price for a 6-cylinder VIN car. So I am actually glad this happened. The car is not stolen and it will now be my new Yenko clone.
