Well some of those "corvette people" tend to stretch the envelope when it comes to terms like "numbers matching" (because they just restamped them). -Just look at what Bloomington Gold did to the term "survivor" and how they are now suing people who describe their own non-corvette vehicles as survivors.

The majority of people in the hobby (as well as 99.9% of law enforcement) consider it less than legal to restamp a major component of a vehicle and then represent it as original.

Sorry, but that seems to be the consensus here.
