Ok let me get this straight, original A/T Deuces have been found with everything from the stock column shifter, to the "standard" tall stick "AutoStick," to an AutoStick with a shorty console-style Dual Gate handle? And there were no Deuces with the '69 style console Dual Gate, but only AutoStick shifters with the short handles?
Can we be sure the shorty handles weren't added later on by the owners and not Yenko? Seems odd to have Hurst or Yenko (depending on who was doing the conversion) toss out a part of a kit (the AutoStick's included long 4 speed style handle) in favor of swapping in a stick from another shifter. Not sure the reasoning behind this, but it seems the more I research these cars the more questions I have about them.

Wish we could find an old Hurst employee who worked on the Deuces. I have about 101 questions I'd like to ask. Thanks for your help though Marlin. We'll figure these little details out yet.
