I see that SuperBees are going 12.08 at 113 now days. What gives? I wonder when the powers that be will step in and say enough is enough? Pure Stockers at 12.08 and the FAST guys can't even get them to go that fast! This may be the beginning of the end to anything close to the real deal! I'm waiting for even some of the MOPAR guys to scream foul but I may be holding my breath for a long time.

I'm sure that you're talking about the R4 Six Pack Bee that I raced in F.A.S.T. up at Musclepalooza. Let me say, that, the car that I raced is actually a lot closer to Pure Stock than F.A.S.T. I built that car before F.A.S.T. and the Pure Stock Events were around, so I built it my way. It's a .030 over, measured 11.9 to 1, 440 with a flat top piston .010 out of the hole, it's got a small solid cam from Straightline, roller rockers, the heads are stock with just gasket matching, and the intake is gasket matched. It has absolutely nothing trick. Up in New York, with non treated tires , it ran 13.0's @ 108. I brought it back and ran it here with the dumps opened up and on a set of worn out BFG Drag Radials on a cold track, it ran high 12.20's @ 112.9, so I know that it's time for some better mufflers than the Turbo's that are on it. My times are fairly comparable to the 12.0 Bee, although mine won't pass Certification, so I'm sure that if I had built my engine specifically for Pure Stock and I did some creative interpritation of the rules, it would run similar numbers.
