I have mixed emotions with the '71/72 stripes. I do like the eyebrow and sword both. Mine has no stripes. Just a plain Jane. There was a '72 in Kodiak years ago. Gold with black stripe w/ black bucket interior. 350/350 but very nice car. I'm sure it is long gone.
It seems they changed the emblem location and GT location depending on year and engine. But, all engines except 455 were called out on rocker panel on front fender. The 455 and 455HO moved around depending on the car in '71 but have seen several '72's with the emblem shown on them. That emblem was in the grill in '71 and depicted the standard 455. Mistake made on mine as no emblems/cid callouts anywhere. Made for fun times on the street.
