Re: '70 Yenko Deuce Nova ?!?!?
This is an excellent Deuce to enjoy as a driver or perform a frame-off!
This car is one of 25 FG deuces produced, and one of 19 remaining. Like the EBaY description says, it's originally out of Dik Watson Chev. in Williamston, MI. This car is in the first order of 125 cars, and is the 32nd Deuce produced and is stock number YS-007. The car spent it's life in MI until Jeff purchased it in 2003.
We know of at least 4 deuces that went to MI, 2 went to Dik Watson (one FG, the other CR) and both are found. The other 2 went to Harry May Chev. in Monroe, MI, (one CS, the other CR) and neither are found! Per our research, most dealers received an initial order of 3 deuces, with trucks hauling approx. 6 cars per load. Additional orders of 1-2 deuces were delivered to those dealers who already ordered their minimum initial 3 car order. Following this logic, (we know that all 4 known MI deuces were shipped from Yenko on the same day), there should be 1 more deuce for each of these two MI dealers, but without more inventory sheets found or an unknown car showing up, we can't be sure. As 1970 wore on and deuces languished on the lots, Yenko appeared to relax the minimal initial order amount to whatever a dealer was willing to take!
