To Goat and everyone else that is sick of these ebay scammers... Why dont you creat a fake ebay account and call yourself SCAMBUSTA and when you see these items for sale just hit the buy it now price??? Just thought that this would be kinda funny to do..

The scammers don't use "BIN" in their auctions.
Instead, they include an email address and tell you to contact them with questions. The car is usually listed for a buck or two.

When you get the 1st email, they give you the "downpayment price" and tell you they'll ship when they receive it.
You just "apply the balance upon review and acceptance of the vehicle."

But the vehicle never arrives and you're out the downpayment.

I think everyone here "has the idea" about the latest way the scam scabs are approaching eBay. If there are any new angles I'll post them. otherwise, I'll only post the completed baits when they're done in case anyone needs a good laugh.

CamJoe - while you made many good points, some of your comments hurt my feelings terribly and I cried into my pillow. I threw my mask and cape into the trash and swore to never post any scam warnings ever again.

In return though, I'd like to say that while the classic car hobby is one of my favorite things in life (ranking just below the female anatomy), I try to look at every aspect of it - including the rip-offs, scams and price-gouging. These things are an unfortunate diversion from the hobby, but are real nonetheless. But in the end, the eBay Scam topic would have subsided, and another new topic would have become popular.

No need to accuse folks of 'trying to save the world'. Those of us who posted scams (and not every scam) were simply trying to discuss it.
FYI, there are still many guys on car lists questioning why they are being offered more than asking price on their for-sale cars by foreigners. They didn't know about the Nigerian bogus check scam.

So...
I'll conceed we posted alotta scam topics in here, but it didn't seem to be against the rules. I'da just clicked past the eBay topics if I wasn't interested.

Anyway, as I said, I'm done with posting eBay scams and will only post my completed baits.
