I don't think it's Ebay's responsibility at all ! I have written them before to look at an auction that was selling a 67 chevelle, the pictures were from a friends car and I knew he was not selling it, they did end the auction and I received an e-mail back from them saying thanx for the "heads up" ! Beyond that I don't think they are in it for any reason but $$$$$, remember Ebay Motors is just a small part of what they do! My 3 cents Neal
