Just curious. Don Yenko was a shrewd businessman, so why order a COPO for racing? He had been swaping motors for years, and it would make better sense to take an El Strippo Chevelle and swap out the parts to convert it to racing trim. Why pay for parts that were going to come off the car anyway? There was no profit motive to load up a car that wasn't going to get titled. Isn't that why the ZL1's had stock tires and hubcaps? If it was raced by Yenko, wouldn't the most valuable documentation be pics of him with the car?
