I've collected some "Day 2" stuff for my '67 RS/SS/L35. Cal Custom valve covers (to be chromed), an Edelbrock C396 intake, two Cragar S/S 15x6 wheels. I think I'll get 7-inchers for the back. Then, Coker G70 redlines in back, E70s up front. Do they make H70 redlines??? If I put headers on I think I'd want to go with new coated Hookers but that would be my only concession to new parts--that are visible, that is.

The goal would be to have a car that looked like I stopped at the tire shop on the way home from the dealership in 1967 and swapped on the latest mags and red-stripe tires on my brand-new Camaro. Then, in an effort to wring more power out of the "Impala" 325-horse 396, I'd put the C396 on with a Holley. (Yes, a cam change is in order, as is a shift kit for the Th-400, but you can't see that stuff.) I hope nobody points out that my Cragar S/S's are new and not "NOS originals." Let's keep this fun and not nit-pick it to death, okay guys!

It seems I have been a Day 2 fan for a long time, I just didn't know it had been an identifiable trend. 'Trend' is used in a good way here. I'm all for it!
