Default Re: Gobi Deuce vs. Cran Red Deuce at SCR7

Put me through a tear down then, no cheater heads here - I don't have the money for that stuff. We both have manifolds and smog, along with E70x14 tires, so that will equalize the other engine and exhaust differences somewhat.

Just for the record, and so that we both have excuses afterwards, there are some big differences between the two cars

For eg; Both of our engines are bored 30 over, but I put in TRW 11.0:1's (per their spec, I know, I know - they are actually less, but...) Frank's got 10:1 hypereutectic flat tops. We have the same heads, intake, carb, and manifolds. Not sure if our CR's are significant in real world track times since Frank's car has run a best of 13.6!

Another difference is in the exhaust, Frank has mandrel bent 2.5" pipes with turbo mufflers. I have 2.25" krinkle bent pipes with 2 resonators and a single crossflow. I also have 2" tailpipes.

The final difference is in rear gears, I have my original 4.10:1's, Frank's got 3.73:1's.

So, adding everything up, we should still be a good match, but still have plenty of wiggle room should we get trailered.

So, Frank! hook up your nitrous - you're gonna need it
