Steve, good question. Here is what I am considering. To keep it simple, we are not going to charge a fee to race, just $5.00 per person. This way, hopefully, by the end of the day, all sYc members will have taken advantage of this rare opportunity to enjoy their cars in the most safe and enjoyable way possible.
Of course, as in the past, anyone who would like to contibute to the track fund is more then welcome.
Hopefully this year we will not be paying to watch the jet dryer go down the track.
Also, we are pleased to announce that COPO Pete and his side kick JJ have agreed to do a clinic about the finer points of Pure Stock racing. Joining them, or should I say the pupil, will be Marlin Spotts. And with other experienced racers on hand, such as Rob, Casey, and an "oldie but goddie" Schonye, anyone needing a pointer or two will not have to venture far. And if this year's event is anything like past SCRs, there is a pretty good chance we will have a racing legend or two on hand.
As they used to say "Friday, Friday, be there for all of the non-stop action of rare musclecars racing side by side down the quarter mile asphalt strip".
