What is wrong with the white interior? I think it would look good in a Red car. black stripes would too. If it is a correct restoration and it came with white stripes then by all means do them in White. Otherwise do them any old way that makes "YOU" happy. Remember never try to please the crowd as they will never agree with you. One will like it one way and someone else will think it should be another.
Follow your heart. You have to live with it!! not them. A stripe is too easy to change and if they want to buy the car then they can paint it any way they want.
