Default Re: '68 Goat-- What's It worth?

Yeah, I saw that pic a long time ago before I started to semi-restore my camaro, and thought that the Motion-look would be something interesting to look at, and it just carried on from there. I'm definitely a fan of the double stripe, rather than the single stripes. Soon, the Camaro is going to have the stripes on the header panel (they were left out on the initial paint), and is going to be wet-sanded and buffed. The stripes are going to be free, since the guy at the shop sort of fummied the stripes on the decklid-- one corner at the stripes is more rounded than the other. The wet-sand and buff is going to be about $100--I don't trust myself to do it. I think that I've decided to stick with my car, and eventually redo the frame, suspention, and possibly add a 454, or a 468 BB. I had originally wanted to add a Bill Mitchell 454 small block, but $10,000 is a little much for a college kid! I'm talking "long-run plans": here, so nothing is final.

Just talked to the kid who has my dad's camaro, and he's currently having the engine rebuilt . . . keeping it mostly stock, with some upgrades, like a carb, intake, possibly headers . . . "just something a little more street-performance oriented" as he said.
