Frieburger's point was that forums, at least the ones he's on, tend to descend into sniping and back-biting instead of staying on-topic: CARS. Again, I like this forum because we interact with a high level of professionalism and respect for varying opinions and when things begin to get a little "snitty" the moderators stop it cold before things get out of control. (I even got a joke deleted because of a word we all know and love: "__ts." A reminder to me that this is a professionally run forum! Thank you CL.)

Anyway, read Frieburger's editorial (OPINION, by the way) carefully and you'll understand where he's coming from. The Internet is like a car--you feel safer inside and have more courage and thus may say or do something to someone that you would NEVER dare do if you were standing right in front of that person. (Unless you are a really big dude and can kick my _ss.)
