No problem on the help! I wasn't trying to sound cranky...I just don't want to post info in this thread if people are really more interested in the white one. It is totally cool with me either way. I just don't want to keep bringing up the orange Camaro if nobody cares about it....that's all! I enjoy this board immensely and hope to be a contributor of more substance down the road. Right now I just like to watch the expertise and dream a little.
I emailed CCO and asked them what the scoop is with that car and what they have/had to prove it's originality. I agree, someone has to know who owns this car. I'll dig into it more and see if I can figure it out. If CCO doesn't get back to me via email pretty quickly, I am just gonna run by there or call. I'll probably give them to COB on Monday and stop by there or call Tuesday. I just want to know for myself. I'll post whatever info I get. If CCO is not selling the car, I am going to see if they'll divuldge who owns it. I just cannot see how an original 70 L78 could have sat that long where it is and why no sale signs were never put in it. If I have to get into VIN searching, I might be able to check with a few law enforcement buddies.
What is decking a block anyway? Sorry for the noob question. I just don't know what it is. I think the original ad said they had the original "block" which to me means just the block (that has been decked). I know that the aircleaner is enough of a bear to get..how bad are the other parts to get if everything else is original except the motor/block? If the block is decked and that's all they have, someone might as well look for a complete NOM setup, I suppose.
