Bear in mind dealers are much more "visible" than private collectors. If you've had a car for a long time and think about selling it (especially if your not "in" the hobby), it is very easy to jump on the web or see an ad, call a dealer and sell it. No muss, no fuss. This is how many one owner, original cars come on the market.

I prefer not to buy from a dealer, but they certainly have their place and there are some good ones. They are in business to make money and as long as they do so honestly, they can benefit the hobby by bringing that low mile, original car out in the open for us to have a shot at. I am a firm believer the value of any item is what the buyer and seller strike a deal on. Of course, you and I might not agree, but that IS the value to those two at that moment!
