Default Re: Pure stock drags

Pete won his shootout against an L-88 Corvette that qualified with an 11.99@120(!) to Pete's 12.10@116! Talk about HEAVY HITTERS! A ZL-1 and an L-88, doesn't get much better than that...except maybe the fact that Pete stepped up in the shootout and brought home the win! Pete's car was working, but the DRIVER won that shootout.

Casey participated in the Certified Stock program this year, and proceeded to raise (lower?) the bar for the rest of the small blocks with his 12.88@108+!!!! That thing is legitimately fast, and is a threat to LOTS of big blocks! He won his shootout against my old nemesis, the Plain Brown Wrapper Studebaker!

As for me, I went a 12.45 and some low 12.50s on Friday, then spent the majority of the Friday afternoon and all day Saturday spinning away ET in the first 60'. The car did go over 113 MPH in what the majority of racers thought was terrible air (it again liked less timing @ 32 ), so the power is there, if we can just hook it! I ran a 440-6 SuperBee in my shootout, and had to win 2 in a row to take the win.

Was another great weekend at the track thanks to Bob/Dan!
