Yep, the one in your link (Ignitor II) is the one we had so many problems with. I love this line: "
Senses engine startup and increases dwell time providing more energy for starting sparks." Sure it does! The first one of the "new" units we had, I tried it in my LS-6 Chevelle, and we couldn't get it to fire! Eventually it got to where it would start occasionally, but it ran like crap. Then, the one in dad's Yenko Camaro burnt up (old style), we replaced it with a new style, and the same thing happened. Called Pertronix, got a hold of some "old" style units, swapped them out, and problems solved. As a matter of fact, the tech guy at Pertronix said they had had a LOT of complaints with the "new" style.
