Re: X22 car on eBay...
Contrary to a lot of opinions, just about anything was possible to be built if you wanted to spend the money and the dealer involved had a good working relationship with someone in upper management at the factory. Sometimes if the factory absolutly would not do what was requested the dealer would if the right amount of money was involved, but a case like that of dealer alterations would not be reflected on the trim tag. Basically, anything that was constucted on the line that was outside the boundries of ordering combinations could still be built if someone in upper management decided to add the now famous term, COPO. That term does not just apply to high performance cars, many fleet cars and trucks were built to a desired requirement using the COPO concept. If it could not be built using standard RPO's, sometimes it was built under Central Office Production Order. (COPO) Being from the Detroit area and the right age with most of my family and friends working for the big three, I have seen factory produced cars so odd that I dare not mention them here for the bashing I would have to endure. Bottom line, if you wanted it, odds are you could get it, as long as the motivating factor was the same as it has been all thru time for everything...Money!
