Rat Pack, It looks like the one you recieved was a promotion through Providian Bank to gain access to your information for purposes of sending you a credit card. The one I had posted has origins overseas and appears to be an attempt to gain bank and credit information for purposes of ripping you off. Pay Pal wont send anything to your mailbox which requires any personal information such as passwords or account info, never give that up unless you are actually logging in to Pay Pal's home page. If you notice Pay Pal never asks for any account info after signing up, just your password to gain access to your account. I am sure Pay Pal did not authorize Providian Bank to use their name as a means of marketing their credit cards, I would report it to Pay Pal. My sister works for Ebay, I have her on top of this scam attempt.
