Default Re: Scam Alert

FYI: Never respond to any of these bogus scams, especially if they have a "click here to remove me from the mailing list" link. That link does a variety of things, the least of which is confirms that your email address is a "ripe" one. Gotta love those Nigerian scam artists. They are the best in the business at forging bank documents and sucking money out of bank accounts with only the basic information provided by the victim. They are also experts with identity fraud. Never give them a real mailing address. The first thing they do is then submit a change of address request to the post office and then your mail starts getting forwarded directly to them. All they need is one major credit card statement and then they make a request for "replacement" credit cards and BINGO! there goes your credit rating. Remember the kids book: "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"? Well in this case its "If You Give A Nigerian Scam Artist An Email....he'll then ask you for a bank account number....
