Pete,
I have never seen a pinned guide(?) but have seen pinned
Rocker arm stud bosses or towers so that the High Tension springs did not pull the pressed rocker arm stud out of the head. This was very common on mild race small block applications were screw in studs were not used.

I thought that all HiPo Big Blocks had screw in Studs.
