My theory is that some type of COPO or special paper work was required when a 69 Chevelle got the dash and no paint code. The COPO Chevelle was not an SS so required the dash but the SS cars did not need the dash for MO and DY. So there must be two types of special paint. There have been Carolina Blue SS cars found with dash and no paint code since it was a non listed color. On the Yenko Chevelle build sheet with Monaco Orange or Daytona Yellow there are three COPO numbers in a row. I like to call them triple COPO just to add to the confusion.
