Re: WORLD RECORD ROSEY!!!!!!!!!!!
I have known very few people who pay to have a car restored by a pro who ever get their investment back unless they wait for the market to rise(years) or unless they paid a really low price for the car to begin with. I recently built a 33 Plymouth street rod for a Captain for United Air, he wanted the best of the best and by the time I was done he had 140K in the car. National show winner but the best it would do on the open market is about 80-90K. At least with an original rare Supercar the value tends to increase(with exceptions as after the eighties boom), but with a street rod styles change to where it would be doubtful of the value increasing. The $2000 steering wheel? Never thought I would see the day, but I also never thought I would see the day of $300,000 Camaros, let alone considering buying one. With a car selling for 100 to 300K, $2000 for a correct top flight NOS wheel really sounds legit.
