Re: A quick 3 part post! Well, maybe not quick!
I appreciate the " not wanting another 15 page thread". My fingers are raw from typing. Leaving Charley's car and the late model Berger car off the list was not intended to slide either. No one enjoyed Charley's car more then me. It was done to avoid a possible online debate over why they were in there. Where these cars fit into the supercar scene, I feel, is the next big debate, which I hope to avoid. "I do not have a dog in the fight." As per the reuuion, which I already have been asked about the 2002s, just was trying to decide how best to procede, with out causing a riff in our hobby. I appeciate the way you handled it in your post. You are correct. The numbers game is the problem. I have room for about 60 cars indoors. There are more 2002 ZL-1s then that. Then you add the 100+ Berger cars, and the other neat stuff Matt has done, the numbers speak for themselves. Here is what I propose,(and would LOVE to see happen) and in a way, what I tried to do a couple of times in the past. Leave the indoor show the way it is, for "supercars", era race cars , etc and displays. Outdoors, have a Musclecar Corral. with different sections, GMMG cars, Chevy Musclecars (LS-6s, Z-28s, tribute cars) and even a section for supercars/musclecars from other makes. Mike and others on this board have some non-Chevy cars I would love to see. Do it out back of the Center, where we have lots of room. Leave the back door up, to allow everyone to go from one part to another. We here at the sYc would work with who ever to pull this off. Tom
