Hi Belair,
I spoke to Ken about this. The early 70 picture he has of the car shows it without stripes. On Ed's site he does state that one car was to be delivered without stripes.

Clint is going to check in the door area (he thinks the doors are original, but not the fenders, of his car(now painted blue) to see if he sees any stripe remnants, but he didn't see any very easily as of late last night. He does have title history back to the original owner though so let's see what happens. I for one would like to hear from an original owner also! If he can get in touch with his original owner, I have a shot of maybe finding mine too? Do you think they knew each other? Two twin cars coming in at the same time on the same transporter? Let's see!
