Default Re: 69 spiral shocks

69L89396, Just reporting a caution. I think these were designed for looks only and may not even be up to minimum miles.

If I was going to show the car only I would install worn out but correctly date coded shocks since I have a set.

What about the middle ground between show only and daily driver? If I was going to drive and show the car, I would consider repro spiral shocks. The repros should be new shocks right? The reseller wants to make it clear that just because they are new does not mean they will do what the originals were designed to do. I have not seen them and do not know what they were designed to do. If I could get the shocks I have rebuild, I would. I want a nice car that I can also drive. The repro would fit my need only if they work as they originals did.

Does anyone have any experience with these shocks? Thanks, Greg
