Re: LS6 Convertible
OK-Timeout! Again your imaginations are running amuck. Before we chop this car and guy up, HERE'S THE REAL STORY ON THE CAR. I DO MY HOMEWORK.
This car was originally sold at Bob Fram(spelling?) Chevrolet in Spring Harbor, Michigan. It was LEASED to a customer who blew it up after approximately 5,000 miles. It was picked up by Art Moen Chevrolet in Jackson, Michigan. They installed a factory replacement block. It was then purchased by a gentleman and his partner. There is a good reason for the low mileage(which is also legit). The car spent most of it's life drag racing. The car was raced at Indy, Milan, Norwalk, Moroso(for years here), etc. In it's racing form in the 90's the car was black, black convertible top, gold stripes. The car was parked in this color scheme with a 427 race motor in it. It was then sold by one partner to the gentleman that has it on Ebay. I am told if he left the original windshield in it, there is a stone chip that a dragster threw up at it while in line at the strip. So in conclusion-YES, it is a real LS6 convertible- YES, the build sheet is real- YES, it is now the right color- YES,it is a correct but not numbers matching engine- and YES, the car probably has the most interesting history as any of the 23,24,25,26 or whatever you believe exist. I did not obtain this information from the Ebay seller. This information came from the "horse's mouth". If anyone has any more questions on the car or history, I will furnish you with a name and number.
