Default Re: Casting date versus assy date curiosity

A May 69 casting date on a block assembled in June of 70 would be difficult to justify. It could happen, I just can not think of many reasons that a bare blodk would sit around that long.
Do you think that it is a May 69 casting with a June 69 assembly? This would be a perfect time spread and they could very likley be building engines for 1970 production in June of 1970.
