Hate to say this story is repeated all the time. Just look at the camaros.net board. "I just bought this 69 RS Z for $$$$ and want to decode the tag and engine. X44, T0311TCH."

Ummm, wouldn't it be better to ask before you bought it??
And after finding over 30 1st gens in 2 years with swapped trim tags, ask and I'll make sure the VIN and trim tag look right.
