Didn’t get much done over the weekend. Saturday I ended up tending to a sick wife and Sunday between church, food shopping, and spending time with my family just didn’t leave a lot of time to work on the car. I was able to find a little time Saturday morning where my mom could give me a hand measuring for the vinyl top.
My mom is a semi-professional quilter with a long arm machine in my parent’s basement so she’ll be able to sew it all. She thinks with 4 yards of material we’ll be able to do the roof, top of the dash, and a set of door panels.
Before I order the material I’m going to try making a pattern out of paper for the roof so we can get a proper measurement and be able to compare the size of what SMS sells to what I need to do everything.
Pictures are of the pattern my mom and I measured out for the roof, an old snap on toolbox I picked up for Marty that once cleaned I’ll put together a tool set for him to play with, and Marty figuring out how to make a ramp with his trains. I should’ve bought stock in the toy company that makes the wooden train stuff.
