I’m beginning to understand now when guys say life gets in the way of their projects. I’ve always been able to find time to play with stuff. But lately between work and my son(mostly my son), I haven’t had much of a chance to really dig into it and work on the car. I pulled it outside today for a bit and worked on welding in the right side floorpan. I had bigger plans but I guess I can no say it. Life got in the way.
Hopefully I can get the engine mocked back into place for the winter. It’ll let me work on planning out all my pulleys and mounts so it can all fit. I’d also like to get around to pulling the front and rear axle out after I get the shock tabs welded on so I can get it all prepped, painted, and reinstalled so I won’t have to do it again. But being that it’s getting colder in NJ I’m sure it’s all going to take longer.
The one picture is just the back end of the car because I thought it looked cool with the Dana 60 hanging there. I also worked the roof a bit to get it straighter from the damage done during blasting. My dad actually came up with the genius idea to put a vinyl roof on it. And to fit the period/look I’m going to call around next week and see if any Mod Top reproduction material is still around/being made. I’d love to use the 69 Dart/Coronet green. But will see what’s still on the market and go from there.
Thanks for reading and God Bless
