With both fellas being original Z11 owners, I’ve closely followed the careers of Frank Sanders & Dick Harrell. However, I cannot recall any kind of business venture between them. Not saying there wasn’t, but if there was, it was very short-lived. DH seems to have a history of many short term business ventures with his name seemingly attached to almost every dealer that sold 1967 427 Camaros! He was also involved with TWO totally different Bill Allen’s which is also crazy & something to keep in mind. There may have been another “Sanders” shop or business that DH worked with. Somewhere in the back of my mind is an image of a “Harrell & Sanders Automotive” invoice with the “Sanders” name strangely scratched out. So, whatever that means . . . . ?! BTW, Frank jumped over to Chryslers in 1964-5 then back to GM with a 1966 L79 Chevy II with his own S&S Headers sponsorship. That’s the last car I knew of that he raced. Frank Sanders was a MUCH respected man in the aeronautical world. Google his name sometime & you’ll read about a man that led a very impressive life!
