As for me, I probably grossed $14 for my 8-hour shift. Much better than my 1st job at a drive-in, where I grossed $8.80 for an 8-hour shift.
The minimum wage in 1969 was $1.60/hr. In 2025 dollars, $14.22. I have no idea why younger people think life was so much easier in the '60s.
