Hey, hey, it was never like that until people started moving to MN from IA and MO..
When the price of gas went back up over $3/gallon 3 years ago, I started learning how to drive about 5 mph over, max. I like to see how far I can get on a tank now. My recent purchase of a 2015 Highlander is rated at 22 mpg by the epa. I left home at 11 pm Wednesday, so very little traffic and I kept the speed at 65 mph on the freeway and got 26 mpg all the way to Beloit WI.
MN has a move over law too, but they also have a hands free cell phone law. Neither are enforced, nor are speed limits for the most part. Seems the state could save millions of tax payer dollars if they didn't have signs made and posted for laws they aren't going to enforce...
