Default 1966 Chevelle Update

I've made a few changes to my Chevelle. The worst was installing Holley Sniper EFI. This unit damaged to my engine / car more than I would ever dream possible. I purchased the 550-872 Stealth unit. I've spent more money tuning this thing, including oil and spark plug changes. The EFI dumps so much gas it ends up in the crank case and it fowls spark plugs like crazy. I was told that is part of the fun running Holley EFI. I took the car to their local Holley tuner and spent over $500 getting the unit setup and running correctly. The car was running the best it ever did with the EFI on it when I left their shop.
On the way home from this car show the EFI goes crazy, it starts dumping fuel into my engine, the headers get over heated so much it applies the front brakes. The unit shuts down and leaves me on the side of the road without any power. Lucky, I have AAA, so I get the car hauled home on a roll back. Call Holley on Monday and was told it was RFI that caused the unit to crap out. SORRY HOLLEY, last straw. I will be replacing their EFI with the 900 CFM carb I should have left on in the first place. YES $3,500 and many aggravating months later I will replace it with what I had in the first place.
I remember being told by an old school drag racer " Leave well enough alone!!"
Live and learn.
I will be sticking with my carburetor going forward.
