The speedometer came back yesterday

I came in early to get back on the 62. A new fuel gauge had to be installed (it did not come apart nicely) so before I stabbed the cluster back in, I tested that. Notice the grade school science project lol


Right on with the resistance I had in the rheostat



Clean the speedo lens, face, and internals


Reassemble and install......



When the tach went to lunch, it took out the NOS tach cable. Actually, the casing was too long (I damn near could have used it for a driveshaft loop). But at the time the reproduction cable was on back order. Fast forward to today, the correct length cable is available, but the internal cable appears to be too short. So, I'm waiting for an insert kit and I'll make a cable that is a bit longer.
