These came off a '67 Malibu that was, ahem, "restored", 25 years ago using what ever fasteners were close at hand (hardware store ) etc.
Everything else in my garage (66-67) is hex.
I moved a lot of crap to get at the driveshaft and then set the ladder up to look at the striker. It seems the second, self proclaimed, bodyman didn't have the correct tool for them and they are so chewed up in the center that they look like they may have been hex, but are now a combination of hex, torx and whatever he had in his hand that he could beat in to turn it. These were brand new for him too, as the original set got the same treatment by the first, self proclaimed, bodyman..... I must have known about this a couple years ago, when I set the vent frame and door glass, but don't recall. I'll be ordering another set from DR for spring.
