There used to be a big oak tree behind the starting line.
Art Arfons came up one year to make exhibition passes in the Green Monster and killed half that tree when he hit the afterburner.
He killed the other half of the tree when he came back the next year.
There used to be a board fence behind the starting line. He made a pass one time and blew the boards off the fence and into the potato field across the road.
The repair for that issue was to re-attach the boards to the other side of the fencing.
