I was watching a TV show yesterday and this came on. My mother had to work Saturdays and really couldn't afford a baby sitter for me for 8 hours. So she dropped me off at the local movie theater with $5 and that's where I spent almost every Saturday for about 3 months until she changed jobs. I was 12 at the time. In those days theaters showed double and triple features along with cartoons and trailers. That $5 covered it all plus something to eat for lunch and dinner.
