----Tim,,,That's a southern Florida term due to the number of cars that have been immersed in H20 (salt, brackish or fresh). My good buddy from Ft. Liquerdale, Chet, once bought a 67 swimmer from a salvage auction. Big block with AC coupe that had been stolen with less then 1,000 miles. It was found in a relatively deep pond underneath two Cadillacs and had been there since 67. He sold it to another Corvette shop and they ended up restoring it. Car was born white with brt. blue interior just in case you are looking at one in that color combo,,,LOL!. Both the trans and rear when opened up showed no H20 intrusion. Of course the engine and everything else was a mess! That's south Florida back in the 60's-70's time period.....Bill S
