I seem to remember the '68 SS I bought in '71 only had 396 in the window. No clue what the build date was, as I wasn't aware of reading trim tags back then. I don't recall ever seeing one with a foil tag and the SS on it, BUT, that would require a memory and mine seems to get worse every year...
