I have used it on a couple road trips though. It has gotten a best of 20 mpg highway, and gets 15-16 mpg in town. Towing a fully loaded 28ft enclosed gets about 11-12 at 70-ish mph and pulling the open flat bed with a car on it at the same speeds gets about 14 mpg.

I was just looking at a brand new 2022 at the dealer a couple weeks ago. Crew cab 4x4 with an $85k sticker on it. I would have expected they would do better than my 05, but the sticker has me keeping mine.
 | Mine's an '04 2500HD CC SWB, and I've seen as high as 26 mpg on flat ground at speed; normally more like 21-22 unladen. Gets around 13 - 15 mpg pulling the trailer, depending on the terrain, which is with about 7500 of enclosed Haulmark trailer with the car inside.

It's approaching 300k miles and smokes a bit, but the POWER!! I pass a lot of Dodge Rams going up hill.

Is my truck really 18 years old now?

(Ack!!)
