1970 Z/28 Camaro original 6500/8000 tach and 3972120 Holley 4490 carb
Hi Gang, RARE find here - a tach & carb off a real April 1970 build Z/28 TH400
car got restomodded... carb was rebuilt last year and used to break in the LT-1 but the build morphed into an LS swap - let's pour a drink out for that...
Anyway, the 4519 metering block / plate was lost during the rebuild by someone who didn't care for the numbers, but the correct 6333 is still present as shown. Would you believe they subbed in a 4901 block?! They must've had some HiPo parts carbs laying around that shop... This is a real 1970 carb, not a more recent one; see the photos.
3972120 Holley LIST 4490 and DATED 023 - third week of February 1970 - genuine factory assembly line unit this. But went through a typical one-day rebuilder - see photos. 173 & 215 plates. Should be completely gone through before firing IMHO.
I also have the matching 6500 redline 8000 RPM limit tach out of the same car - 5657057 DATED 03-20-70 again, genuine factory unit - untested.
