OK Gang, I broke these wheels down.
beads perfect, as expected!
Steel trim rings are sturdy and can certainly be refinished / polished / rechromed.
The cleanest wheel in the pics was after literally 90 seconds of water and scrubbing.
There was / is 50 years of road grime and brake dust on these, but they will clean up perfectly, IMHO!
NO RUST, dings to the wheels or anything - they spin true; tire shop tested them.
(I sold the DILL 627 caps and all weights already)
I will reinstall the beauty rings to ship.
Still AWESOME wheels - looking to rehome them ASAP.
These 5X4.5 bolt pattern rims will look great on a Day Two Ford, MoPar, or AMC.
