Arnold Podzimek was known to me as Uncle Bud - he married my mom's younger sister. He was a diehard sports car guy involved with scoring and timing at Road America in the early 1960's. Classic guy wearing a flat top haircut and I believe he had an engineering background. Later years I would run into him at Road America wandering around watching the Vintage Races in July.
For the entire life it was always asked and I was told by my Aunt at my Mom's funeral service that Uncle Bud still has the Shelby Mustang. Once I called him and he told me that he had a convertible Impala SS that he wished he had kept instead. To this day I wonder how he knew to buy and keep this car......
