My travels took me down Main Street in Royal Oak (“Livernois” in all the other Detroit ‘burbs) so I thought I would check in on the old Royal Pontiac location.
Here’s how 400 N Main Street looked in the early 60’s:
From the early 1970's through 2008 it was known as Jim Fresard Pontiac. Here’s how it looked on Father’s Day 2011:
Some activity in December of 2016:
…and as of yesterday:
Neither building kept the old 400 N Main address. The Salon is 418 N Main and the other building is 485 N Main.
Time marches on.
Except for that house. That old house never changes.
