We were pitted next to each other and after the race I jokingly went over and gave him a Red Alert hat. As I was walking back to my pit I turned around and saw him throw it in a close by garbage can. I think it was Wally Parks that said "if we had to drag race Russia to decide the fate of the free world I would want Ronnie Sox to drive for the US".

or something to that effect.
